About CVS (Association & Trust)
Christhava Vellalar Sangam (CVS) operates concurrently as a socio-cultural Association dedicated to uniting, supporting, and empowering the Tamil Christian Vellalar community, and as a charitable Trust focused on philanthropic initiatives, including educational scholarships, medical aid, and community welfare programs. For the purpose of these Terms, all references to "CVS" shall collectively encompass both the Association and its associated Trust activities.
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and CVS (hereinafter referred to as “CVS”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), governing your access to and use of the website
https://cvsindia.org.in/ and the CV Matrimony service (collectively, the “Platform”).
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, browsing, or using the Platform in any manner, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and all applicable laws. If you do not agree, you must immediately cease all use of the Platform.
2. Service Description
The Platform is a community-specific matrimonial facilitation portal provided by CVS to assist members in finding alliances, while warmly welcoming anyone who wishes to be a part of the community's initiatives. CVS acts solely as an intermediary coordinator and does not guarantee any matches, successful outcomes, or final results.
3. Eligibility
-
You must be at least 21 years of age and legally competent to enter into a contract under Indian law.
-
You represent and warrant that you are using the Platform solely for the purpose of seeking a legitimate matrimonial alliance.
4. User Registration and Verification
All profiles submitted to CV Matrimony are subject to manual review and verification by the CVS administrative team. We reserve the absolute right to reject, suspend, or remove any profile at our sole discretion, without prior notice or liability.
5. Voluntary Donations, Membership, and Non-Refundability
-
Nature of Contribution: Access to the CV Matrimony platform is provided as an honorary, complimentary service to the community. The monetary contribution of ₹1,500 (Rupees One Thousand Five Hundred only) is a voluntary donation made directly to the CVS Association to support membership enrollment.
-
Utilization of Funds: All such gathered donations are pooled and strictly utilized to fund the charitable welfare activities, community outreach, and philanthropic projects run by the CVS Trust.
-
Strict No-Refund Policy: Because this payment constitutes a voluntary donation toward community welfare rather than a commercial fee for a guaranteed service, all donations are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances. This includes instances of profile non-usage, early deletion, account termination, or failure to find a matrimonial match.
-
Payment Processing: Donations are securely processed through designated third-party payment gateways (including UPI QR codes). CVS does not store, record, or have access to your private financial or payment instrument details.
6. User Conduct and Content
You shall not upload, post, or transmit any content that is obscene, defamatory, illegal, harassing, or violates the cultural dignity and moral standards of the community. Any violation may result in the immediate termination of your platform access without any recourse or refund of donations made.
7. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimer
-
The Platform is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. CVS expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied.
-
CVS shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Platform.
-
You use the Platform entirely at your own risk. CVS is not responsible for validating the background of users, nor is it liable for any interactions, communications, offline meetings, or outcomes between users.
-
In the event of any security incident including but not limited to hacking, data breach, virus attack, data loss, unauthorized access, or technical failure, CVS shall not be held liable in any manner whatsoever.
-
Users voluntarily consent to sharing their personal data on the Platform at their own cost and risk. CVS and the Sangam bear no responsibility for any loss, misuse, damage, or claim arising therefrom.
-
Any technical or development-related liability shall rest solely with the website development team.
8. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CVS, its office bearers, trustees, committee members, and affiliates from any loss, liability, claim, or demand (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Platform.
9. Termination
CVS reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the platform at any time, with or without notice, for any reason whatsoever, without any obligation to refund any voluntary donations previously paid.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of these terms or the use of the platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
